trunk or treat/hauck halloween/bellerive
2:18 PM
man, i am on a roll this week with blog posts!
the weekend following the witch party was one of the busiest we have had in a loooong time. i think i am still tired from it.
that friday evening we had our very first trunk or treat up at sgm. this was my very first trunk or treat ever! i have been hearing about this craze for awhile but have never actually taken part until this year. it was soooo fun! we had a beautiful night. ryan had the best time running around with all her friends.
how amazing is may's parrot costume?? another mj creation...man i hope at least one of my girls get some of those creative genes!
i was able to put my new suzi-original candy bowl to good use!
future sgm classmates
the very next evening was our 3rd annual hauck halloween party. i did not go all out like last year and i apologize to all of those i couldn't invite this year. i just didn't have the energy. between all the halloween hooplah and being 10 weeks pregnant i just couldn't bring it this year. i did, however, rent a huge bounce house. best money i have ever spent. that thing was ahhh-maz-ing! my kids jumped from 1-8 with maybe a 1/2 hour break.
bounce houses...fun for all ages
my adorable parents...the lord and lady grantham
(for all you downton abbey fans out there)
and my awesome mother-in-law, dora the explorer
the wicked witch of the west and glinda
just a little birdie out for a cruise
the littlest pals
this would be brendan as a power ranger
the littles enjoying a little sensory table fun
meanwhile...her father was having a little too much fun. they really aren't just for kids!
yes, that cheeseburger back there is actually a pumpkin. pretty amazing.
lil was not feeling that haunted house..can't say i blame her

ry and her girlfriends took a little break from the bounce house to color up in ali's loft.

to round out the weekend, on sunday we headed to bellerive for their halloween hayride. dan scored world series tickets so i made my mom come with me. this is always such a fun event. they added a "haunted house" this year which ryan and i braved. i was proud of her for giving it a shot...but after letting out a scary-movie scream when one of the "statues" started moving...i think it's safe to say that was probably the last haunted house she will go in for a few years. i think we'll stick to the hayride and smores.
