busy weekend

last weekend was a busy one from start to finish...but man was it fun!

it all started friday night with a fun adults-only dinner out to say farewell to the corbins. they are moving to indianapolis next week and i am not happy about it. afterall, we just got our amy lou back in the stl one short year ago and now she's moving away again...and taking our favorite twins with her! (sniff, sniff...tear) how dare she!! thankfully they are only going to be a short 4 hour drive away so hopefully they will make multiple visits back...and maybe even a few fun roadtrips for meg & i!!

we will miss you corbins. couting down the days until we get to have a "welcome back" dinner!

on saturday we put on every layer of clothes we could and braved the elements to walk through the lights at tilles park. this is one of my favorite nights of the year...even in 20 degree temps!

bird decided she wanted to walk...this lasted a whole 3 minutes.

this picture makes me laugh...shows you just how cold it really was!

we thawed out enough by sunday evening to head to bellerive for their gingerbread house party. this is also another holiday-must. all the fun of decorating gingerbread houses...without having to clean up the mess! what could be better than that?
