he turns 98 today. 

98!! 

what an unbelievable milestone to hit.

my pop is without a doubt the most wonderful person i know. he possess every quality i strive to have in myself. 

he is kind. 

always waiting with open arms whenever i see him.

he is patient.

i have never heard the man say so much as a curse word...unless you count "dabnabit" for as long as i have been alive.

he is brave. 

he fought for our country, but you will never hear him talk about it. maybe it wasn't a great experience for him...or maybe he just likes to keep those memories to himself...but to my he is a hero. 

he is funny. 

his stories are legendary. 

he is selfless.

he spent his adult life doting on my gma, my mom and uncle, his 6 grandchildren and now his 8 great grandchildren. he was at every basketball or volleyball or hockey game he could make it to and always ready to sneak a $20 into our hands as he said goodbye. he lights up when any of his 8 greats walk into his house for a visit. 

family is absolutely everything to him.
