wrapping up 2015
7:20 PM
the last two weeks of 2015 were pretty incredible. dan spent the majority of it at home with us. it was an overload of family fun time that i never wanted to end.
a few days before christmas we boosted our holiday spirit with a walk through the botanical gardens. their light display is unlike any of i have ever seen. it was a beautiful evening, weather wise, and the lights just took my breath away. we will definitely be back again next season!
then the gift-giving, ahem receiving, began! christmas at cessie's is always the first stop on our christmas train.
next it was onto christmas eve.
we arrived at sgm around 3:15 for 4:00 mass and everyone got a seat. christmas miracle! may, annie and i hunkered down in the cry room. (we go to all school mass every week so these two are used to the cry room...plus annie is in a screeching phase. that and christmas mass just don't mix) while dan, dottie, scott, mary and the big two sat in big church.
after mass we headed over to dottie's for the night.
almost all of the ryan's in one room. now that is a party!!

this is an inside joke between the sisters. i don't know what it is, but kelly made sure i caught mo's face when she opened it. so these are for you, kelly!

christmas morning was everything.

only two christmas day stops for us which was pretty great. a little family time with the hauck's...
then dinner with the muckermans. gifts and games and sing-a-longs...oh my!
it is simply the best way to wrap up a wonderful christmas.

once the christmas dust settled we really dove into some family fun. what better way than with a box at the blues game?!? these girls have been brainwashed 100% by their father and love, love, loooove hockey.

one morning dan hit the office for a few hours while 4 brave moms took all of these crazies bowling.
these two. erin and i love capturing pics of them when we're together.
two peas in a pod.
then it was blues game number two of the break. like i said, the big two cannot get enough!

that brings us to the very last day of 2015.
we invited the petersons and obriens to a fancy pajama party to ring in the new year. heels and makeup and pj's...what better way to say goodbye to a great year.
ryan took it upon herself to set up a photo booth with the nye props we bought.

sparkling grape juice for all!

may and her best boyfriend. she told my mom she was going to kiss thomas at midnight!

the ball dropped in this house (about 6 times) around 9pm.
that was about all this party animal could take.
i am very excited about 2016. dan has big things happening at work, our big girls are healthy and happy, and our baby isn't really a baby anymore.
i am taking a stand this year and shifting a little bit of my focus back to myself.
more sleeping...
more yoga...
less yelling...
and less french fries.
cheers to 2016!
