hard to believe spring break has come and gone already. we had a wonderful week at the beach with dottie and aunt mary.

this year our spring break was pretty late, compared to other schools. we headed south the week of april 11 and pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves. since weather in destin can be touch and go in the month of march, we thought for sure the weather would be perfect in april...and it was...for the first few days. then came the rain.

rain, rain and more rain.

we made the best of it and snuck in beach time whenever the rain slowed down...even if just for a few minutes!

night swimming is their favorite

this girl loooooved the ocean. had to keep a close eye on her all week because she would run full sprint into the waves if we weren't paying attention.

the third day brought a ton of jellyfish on shore. the girls, of course, were totally freaked by them. until we started googling and realized these particular jellyfish, moon jellyfish, do not sting. so then they were fascinated with touching them.
