never forget

nine years...wow. has it really been nine years since that horrendous day? it's amazing how quickly the years have gone, yet, how clear the memories of that day are in my head. it truly is a day i will never forget. a day i will share with my girls so they know the magnitude of how badly it shook our country, but at the same time how solid we stood together. a day that will forever remind us how lucky we are to live in this amazing country. it's a day we'll say a prayer for those who lost their lives and for the families they left behind. a day to remind us that we are alive and to live every day to the fullest. a day to thank the military, the police officers and fire fighters for keeping us safe and free. (which is what we did tonight to the firemen who stopped in for a treat at dottie's)
