school days

well, it's official...ryan is in school! ahhh! how did my little baby get so old so fast? today was her first "full" day. full, meaning 3 hours! thankfully mornings are chaotic when you try to get two kiddos fed and out the door by 9am...so i didn't really have time to be nervous or upset. after a few pictures in front of the new house we were off. ry was so excited to show daddy her classroom and really excited to wear her back pack. she decided to bring lucy (her baby doll) with her to keep her company in case she got a little sad. i think that was all she needed because as lil & i left her classroom she had lucy in hand and was about to go down the slide, waving "bye mama" i was so thankful there were no tears...at least until we got in the car...and the tears came from my eyes! i was totally fine until i called dan. (he left right before i did so we didn't all leave her at the same time.) once i told him what a big girl she was my eyes welled up. i am just so proud of her. this is such a big step in her life and she did it with such ease. who knows what thursday will bring but for now she loved it and cannot wait to go back!



















even though it was only 3 hours, i was beyond excited to go pick her up and here how it went. my eyes welled up again as i saw her & her teacher walking out to my car. her eyes lit up once she saw our car...and she couldn't wait to tell me all about it. she told me about her teachers (mrs dede & mrs shelly) and about the kids in her class and that they got a snack and read a story and she even made her first piece of art that she so proudly hung on our fridge as soon as we got home! i think it's safe to say she enjoyed it. cannot wait to see how thursday goes!
