all set

whew! what a weekend. it's still hard for me to believe, but we are in our new house!!! words cannot even begin to describe the feeling i get when i wake up in this house. it is more that i could have ever imagined! it has been a long journey and we aren't even finished yet. yes, we are living here...but there is still so much work to be done. for one the old house needs to come down. all we are waiting on is for ameren to come take down the power lines in the backyard. once that is taken care of (hopefully next week) then she will crumble. i am dying to see how they go about knocking that sucker down. for those of you who have seen it in person, you know just how close the two houses are. it's going to be quite a site. i kind of want to video tape it. i mean when is the next time i will have a front row seat to something like that? we'll see if they'll let me.

once the house is gone they will continue getting this house finished. they still have to finish our walk out basement, the lanai off the master bath, pour our driveway and get our yard looking more like a yard and less like a mud pit. all very exciting things on the horizon. for now i am just sitting back and enjoying the little things like our amazing new bed and seeing just how cute and tiny ry looks in hers and watching the girls run circles around the kitchen and family room as they explore every inch of their new home.

we will make many many memories in this house...starting with thanksgiving! we are hosting our first holiday and believe it or not the house is all set! here's a little sneak peek...

we are so excited for the first of many parties we will have in this house. another huge thank you to mj and nana for helping me get the house set up. there is absolutely no way this would be possible without you two! now...who's ready for some turkey?!?
