this past saturday family and friends gathered at our house to celebrate tiger lil turning 3. although nothing will ever top lilly's first birthday her third birthday was a blast. we decided to give the great outdoors a shot again and set up a bunch of water fun for lil and all her friends. i think the kids had a blast. i'll let the pictures do most of the talking...

one of lil's favorite things is when ya ya comes over to babysit and brings pretzels from pretzel boys. so of course we had to get an extra special one for her big day

all the kids went directly outside to play which is exactly what i had planned. kids outside where it's hot and steamy...adults inside where it's nice and cool. ok, so really there were quite a few adults outside because let's face it, our kids are still little and need to be supervised around water. but one of these days we will all be able to stay in the ac while they play in the heat.

he would have stayed in this pool all night but his mean old mom made him get out to eat dinner.

the swing set was a bit hit at the party as well.

we also set up a little lemonade stand for the kids. yes it's actually an ice cream stand but we like to use our imaginations. this was a major hit. the kids were lined up to get their free lemonade!

(come on i wasn't about to let ryan make money at lil's party!)

we had an ice cream bar instead of a cake. ice cream, sprinkles, m&ms...every kids dream!

then of course it was time to open presents...the presents that i told everyone not to bring! we are so blessed to have such generous people in our lives!
