6 months
1:02 PMsix whole months of my life have gone by in a flash! how can my little baby girl already be six months old? i know, it doesn't seem right, does it? i promise it's true...she really is!

at six months you are just as easy going as you have always been. i have told your daddy numerous times that if i could guarantee more babies just like you we would be the next duggar family. you love to smile and only fuss when you are hungry or tired. we go to the doctor in a couple weeks for your next well visit...so i will update your stats then.

your new trick this month is sitting up all by yourself. you started doing this about 3 weeks ago. you would sit for a minute or two then topple over. you are getting stronger and stronger every day. now you will sit until something is out of your reach and you lunge forward onto your tummy to get it. your sisters love that you can sit up and play with them now. i absolutely love this stage too. it will really come in handy when we are down at the beach in a few weeks. there is nothing cuter than a chubby baby sitting in the sand!

along with sitting, you are also trying to move once you get on your tummy. i am not encouraging this milestone! don't get me wrong...i will be so happy once you start crawling and exploring your little world...i just love the stage where you sit and play in one spot that i want it to continue for awhile longer. i think any mom with more than one kid can sympathize with me on that!

the baby food stage is rolling right along around here. you have tried just about every "stage one" food and have not turned your nose up to anything. these stage one foods include: peas, sweet potatoes, avocado, carrots, pears, apples, and bananas. i am still making all your food in my baby bullet...boy do i love that thing!

you still adore bath time. especially now that you can sit up in your little tub. i think we will be ditching that thing pretty soon and letbyou really join in on bath time fun with your sisters. it's amazing to me that i am already putting some baby stuff away. i feel like i just brought all that stuff upstairs. life is just moving way too fast.

it's a good thing you still like to snuggle with me! when it comes to sleeping you are one inconsistent little gal. you are a rock star when it comes to napping. you take two naps a day. your morning nap lasts about an hour and your afternoon nap is about 2 hours. depending on what we did that day...sometimes you take a little evening cat nap to get you to 7:30. the night time is where your inconsistency sets in. one night you will sleep 10 hours straight...then the next two nights you will wake up once. i, surprisingly, am not really concerned about this. i guess this comes with having two kids before you...but i know that you will figure this whole sleeping business out. i remember saying to dan "am i ever going to sleep again!" when ryan was your age and still waking up at night. i was so dramatic! ryan is now the best sleeper in the house at night...so i am confident you will be too. someday.

your naps have only improved these last couple weeks now that we have been spending our mornings at the pool! you just love the pool. watching the kids, splashing in the water, chewing on all the pool toys...you love it all.
this is shaping up to be the best summer ever!!
happy half birthday sweet birdie!!
