family pics

8:44 PM

a few weeks back we had our annual family pictures with the uber talented susie vreeland. she has been taking pictures of our family for the last few years...and to say i am obsessed with her would be a major understatement. not only is she a whiz behind the camera, she is so much fun to be around. it's basically just hanging out with your girlfriend while she takes amazing pictures of your children.

i look forward to our sessions every spring.

i also enjoy going back and looking at her past work. it's so fun to see how much the girls have changed since we first met susie. then of course there was annie's incredible newborn session. i love seeing how different they all look even just 6 months ago. the pictures susie takes of my family are ones i will cherish forever. they are starting to take over the frames in my home and i couldn't be happier about that.

so, thank you susie, for always capturing our lives just as they are. a lot of times happy, sometimes grumpy but always beautiful!

when trying to decide where to have this session susie asked if we happened to belong to a country club. genius, i tell you! i never would have thought of that...but what better backdrop then the green of a golf course in the spring? so off we went to bellerive to see what we could capture.

i love this picture because it shows just how obsessed they big girls are with annie.

since my girls are always sporting bows...usually as big as their heads...i opted for something different this time around. the amazing tina berrera whipped these flower crowns up for the girls and i think they were the perfect accessory.

may was not being super cooperative during the shoot. i think it was a mix of her allergies and just being a 3 year old that made smiling for pictures hard. i am thankful we got at least one of all four of them!

this picture. i have no words.

same with this one.

these are so cool. landscape shots susie called them. told the girls to dance around us and just have fun.

just look at that sky!

these solo shots leave me speechless as well...

as you can see there are none of may. (insert sad emoji face) i cherish these pictures of her and i though because this is just life right now for may. she can be a little shy, a lot stubborn but all sweet at the same time.

since it was annie's birthday month we decided to do a few smash cake shots.
i absolutely love these! the baby, the cake, the bonnet...i just can't.

busted

may calls her daddy her "best buddy." a daddy's girl through and through.

i will forever cherish these pictures and the memories in them!

thank you again, susie.
