summer week 9
12:23 PM
week nine was a fun one. we were scrambling to cross some more items off our summer bucket list.
first stop was the painted zebra to decorate some ceramics. the girls absolutely looooved this. they could have painted 10 items each. my wallet stopped them at 2 a piece...and a platter for dan's birthday.
as ryan says...perfect for bringing in his burgers from the grill.

we spent a day doing some major lounging.
my mom, dad and ali took the big 4 to six flags one evening.
they had such a blast!
post-tidal wave.
spoiled rotten super heroes!
while the big kids were away...dan and i took the littles out for dinner and ice cream.
waiting for ice cream is hard.
another check off the ol' bucket list was grant's farm. thanks to cessie, we were able to take the private vip tour again this year. it really is an amazing tour of the farm...if you have the chance, jump on that!
first stop is always the clysdales.
then we hop on our own tram for a tour of the big house, the cabin and the deer park.
annie's excited to see some animals!
our little students listening so intently as we toured general grant's cabin.
next it was off to feed the koi fish.
followed by a visit to oscar the ostrich.
then we did a little off-roading to try and find the buffalo and the longhorns. this guy saw us coming and new it had to be lunch time...
after our tram ride we were able to feed the baby goats...who surprisingly seemed a little subdued this visit.
and take a spin on the carousel.
we ended the visit with lunch and sno cones.
it was such a fun day. thank you again, cessie for making our excursion possible!!
that evening we celebrated 35 years of this guy...
(there's no denying may is his kid, huh?)
the man of our house didn't want much of a fuss for his birthday. just a small dinner at our house with our parents. fine...fine...i guess i'll save the big bash for 40.
and just to prove to everyone that you're only has old as you feel...
he jumped up on our 3ft island.
take that, 35!!
