back to reality

at night i dream of a life where i wake up in a house with an elevator, can walk to the beach every morning, and have an extra set of hands to help with the girls around the clock. ahhh, dreams are wonderful aren't they? at least i can said i had that for a week. for now it's back to reality! ok, who am i kidding...my reality is pretty great! i may not live within walking distance to a beach but i can look out my window and see the back of our dream home getting closer & closer to being finished everyday! i may not have around the clock help with the girls but i do have ne ne who is still on summer break and aunt nanny ali always a phone call away if i need a break. life it pretty perfect. if only we could figure out a way for dan to stay home with us everyday and still make money?!?

anyway, this week it's been back to business as usual. since he didn't make the trip with us we headed over to visit with uncle jake on monday. i think this is his blog debut. ladies & gentlemen...my brother!


on tuesday we took a much needed trip to dottie's. we were having withdrawals. the girls were immediately put to work testing out their new brooms! that dottie runs a tight ship!




lilly took a break to greet some customers. ummm lil, i'm pretty sure there is a no shoes, no shirt, no service policy. what do you think your grandma owns the joint or something??




on wednesday, after naps, we met our friends in downtown kirkwood for a little treat at the custard station and to watch the trains. i know what you're thinking...ice cream two days in a row? come on, it's summer and 100 degrees. give us a break! we were lucky enough to see two two trains go by! the kiddos loved that!
