lazy summer days

our lovely, lazy weekend started out with a trip to the pool at cessie's condo complex on friday. followed by lunch at her condo with my g'ma and pop. the kids had a great time visiting with everyone and putting on performances of "take me out to the ball game."














on saturday morning the girls and i headed over to our buddy ellie's house for a kelly's kids party. we had so much fun playing in ellie's playroom and picking out adorable fall clothes for the girls. those parties are dangerous...but since aunt bossy is throwing another one in a few weeks i had to restrain from ordering the entire catalog!

ryan made a new best friend on saturday. the kelly's kids rep brought her daughter, anna along and ryan immediately clung to her. she is fascinated with "big girls" and has to call them that. it took her at least 1/2 hour until she realized her name was not, in fact, big girl...but anna.




just two best pals, hanging out on the stairs. no big deal.




on sunday the birthday celebrations began for my hubby. he is turning the big 3-0 this weekend! wow! we were also celebrating my 2nd cousin/3rd grandmother cessie's birthday as well. for those of you who don't know my family all that well. cessie is technically my 2nd cousin but she has been more like a 3rd grandmother to all of us.
