we have had some unbelievable february weather the past week. i feel we would have let our beloved blog readers down if we didn't go out and soak up all of that outside goodness. so we did just that.

first, on tuesday...also known as ryan's actual birthday. the temps topped out in the low 50's so we only lasted about 45 minutes. but it was just enough time for the kids to run off some energy. then we headed back to our house for birthday cupcakes.

and as if we thought the 50 degree temps were a dream come true...then came wednesday. the temps topped out around 70!! simply heavenly! this time we chose kirkwood park. a wonderful park that harbors many of my childhood memories. from girl scout camps, to grade school field days, to family reunions. it's a wonderful park. lisa, ali and i agreed we need to take advantage of this great place more often this spring/summer.

we capped off the week on friday with a trip out to faust park. it was a little cooler on friday...only in the 40s (it is february afterall) but the sun was shining so we still took advantage. first we stopped by the carousel for a puppet show and to take a spin on the horses...
