"blizzard"

once again stl completely overreacts when it comes to the weather. don't get me wrong, i am all for being prepared...but 24 hour, around the clock coverage of the so called "bizzard" was a little excessive. especially when at 5pm the weather gal said "well, i think that's all we're going to get." it was obvious even the anchor was annoyed. luckily for us the storm shifted and basically missed us. what was supposed to be 20 inches of snow turned out to be about 5. unfortunately our friends in chicago did not fare so well. the storm has pretty much shut down the city. the pictures from chicago are unbelievable.

whether or not we were going to get the 20 inches didn't really matter to us. we were homebound no matter what. we made the best of it..and being in our nice warm new house didn't hurt. we kept busy all morning and then at noon dan had let all his employees go home before the bad stuff came down, so he was able to spend the rest of the lazy day with us.

we started the day by making some banana bread...

as you can see ryan did not get out of her beloved princess jammies all day. what a life!
