staying with the birthday theme...another little lady in this house had one to celebrate!
that's right. this chick turned 7 on june 18th.
i know, i can hardly believe it either, lil!
our second born.
at seven years old she is about as sweet as any little girl can be.
inside that tiny package (43lbs and 43 inches landing her just under the 3rd percentile) is one humungous heart. lilly just wants everyone around her to be happy all the time. she is the definition of a peacekeeper. she loves to make people laugh. she is the first to jump up when asked to help out with just about anything.
along with that huge heart comes a little smidge of anxiety. she worries a lot. she tends to make little things, big things in that cute little head of hers. she has to have ample time to assess her surroundings any time she begins something new. she's a planner, spontienity isn't really this girl's thing. however, i have a feeling she will grow out of (most of) this because every year it gets better and better. for now being near her mom and dad makes her feel safe and i am one hundred percent ok with that.
(although i may need to look into a bigger bed)
this girl will do anything for her sisters! the other three are so very lucky to have a sister like tiger lil. being the peacekeeper she is, she is always ready to help or teach or play. she is also quick to defend her sisters against anyone who might be laughing at (or with) them. she can be very sensitive when it comes to those sisters of hers.

she is without a doubt our sporty spice. has more than enough energy to burn so we try to get her involved in just about anything she has interest in. i think we have run our course with gymnastics. she really enjoys it but since it's more of an "individual" type sport where the attention is mainly on her it's not a good fit. she's definitely more of a team player. she really loves soccer and is currently doing learn to play hockey...with her dad as the coach! this girl looooves being on the ice, however she isn't a huge fan of being one of only a few girls. our hope is that he will find her niche and be able to channel some of that nervous energy into an activity she can succeed at.
for her actual birthday dan and i were out of town for a family wedding so we did her birthday breakfast a couple days early.
she was spoiled beyond belief by her grandparents while we were gone. swimming, monkey joe's, birthday cakes and sleepovers. not much else a seven year old could want!!
when we got back lil and her bday pal, anna hosted all their girlfriends to a viewing of finding dory.
(and she made me straighten her hair. she looks like a different kid without those curls!)
i can't believe our second born is seven years old and will be entering the second grade!!
we love you tiger lills.
