a star is born

by now i'm sure you all know just how theatrical that oldest daughter of ours is. if you've been over to our house recently there is no doubt you've taken in one of ryan's original fireplace performances. the saturday before we left for florida we saw her take her show on the road. she participated in her very first dance performance at st. louis' "dancing in the streets" festival. it was held downtown near the fox theatre. hundreds of dancers from various dancing schools participated.

at first i wasn't sure how ryan would do up there. as dramatic as she is on her own "stage" at our house...this was her first time on a real one, in front of a lot of people. i wasn't sure if maybe she would get a little nervous. but as she watched each and every act before her...her anticipation grew and grew and grew. until she was literally dancing in the streets waiting for her turn to get up on that stage. and once she got up there she gave it her all, never missing a beat! she can hardly wait for her next recital.
