man oh man...i am so behind the game. way back on sept 6th a certain little boy we love turned 5 years old!

it's amazing how quickly 5 whole years can fly by. it seems like last week i was taking extra long lunch breaks to go hang out with lisa and a newborn brendan. now look at him! such a stud.

we helped brendy celebrate his birthday with an evening out at one of our favorite parks. the party...as i'm sure you can guess...was superhero themed. i dare you to find a 5 year old boy out there who is not into superheroes. they are just as addictive to boys as princesses are to girls. i mean honestly, who can resist being a superhero for a night? i know i sure can't.

it was a gorgeous september evening and all the kids had such a fun time at the park. if you ask me, it's the perfect way to spend a saturday. run the kids until it's dark and they pass out on the way home.

recently ryan has really gotten into watching people open her gifts. she helps me pick out any and all birthday gifts now and cannot wait to watch the birthday boy/girl open hers. in this instance lisa was planning to take all the gifts home...however ryan convinced her to let brendy open our gift before we left. my baby girl is learning just how great it is to make people happy!
