an apple a day

fall is officially upon us! it is, hands down my favorite season. the cool, crisp weather where your body begs to be covered up with a big sweater. all the gorgeous reds and yellows and oranges nature brings to life. knowing that the holidays are just around the corner. how can one not love fall?

a couple weekends ago dan and i took the girls on one of my all time favorite fall outings...apple picking!

the tractor ride is almost more fun than picking the apples...almost.

then we moved on to the red delicious



all the good reds were at the top








after we successfully picked our 15lbs of apples we headed back to see the animals and play on all the fun stuff.

i am so thankful eckert's didn't have their pumpkins out yet because i can guarantee you that we would have 3 rotting on our front porch already!

we need to save ourselves for the various pumpkin patches we will visit in the coming weeks...
