cool august evenings?!?

in st. louis? who would've thought...but that is exactly what we had tonight. dan called us this morning and had a beyond brilliant idea to have a picnic dinner up at des peres park. i knew i married that boy for a reason ;)

after naps my two big girls made their own pbj's.








ry used her butterfly cookie cutter to jazz her sammie up a bit.


dan left work a little early so we could really take advantage of the picture perfect evening. the park was hopping with people. excercising, playing...i think all of stl was outside tonight! we took a spin around the park then settled in on our blanket (thanks nana!) for dinner. it's apparent that school is back in session because there were 5 different teams having soccer practice. the girls loved watching all the action. i cannot wait until it's our girls out there playing!

who knows how long this gorgeous weather will last...it will probably be back over 100 degrees by saturday. at least we are enjoying it while we can :)
