water-1, camera-0

it's a sad, sad day. i am devastated. the fabulous new camera that i got for mother's day this year did not have a good weekend. i am so mad at myself. as i was packing the girls up from a fun morning at the pool with our best bud ellie, i threw my camera in my little cooler bag where i was keeping the girls' water bottles. what a fool i am. when i got home and unpacked my swim bag i pulled out my camera and all i see is water dripping off it. i almost cried. this camera has been attached to my hand lately. i called the best buy dan bought it from and held my breath as the girl checked to see if dan had purchased the "protection plan". my heart sank when i heard her say "it doesn't look like he purchased it and unfortunately since it's water damage and not a manufacturer malfunction there isn't much we can do" what? not much you can do?!? come on, throw me a bone here. we went up to best buy to have them look at it and the geek squad told us to ship it off and have it fixed would cost just as much as a new camera. of course.

so, until the next big holiday (hurry up november) i am going to be without my beloved sony cyber-shot. i think i may have to start lugging around our big dog professional camera because we all know i am not going to be able to last a few months with just iphone pictues!

i took my card up to walgreens to put the pics from the weekend on a cd. i'm going to pick it up tomorrow so i will blog about our fun, family weekend tomorrow night. for now, i will leave you with this adorable iphone pic of lil & ellie. just two best pals chillin' poolside :)
