i apologize for my lack of posts lately. my usb cord has gone missing...as soon as it reappears i will be posting pictures of all the glorious adventures we have been having as of late.

for now i would like to talk about a certain little lady in our house who turned 3.5 yesterday! my goodness this girl is growing up way too fast. it was hard enough for me to believe it when she turned 3...but 3.5. i am not sure i can deal with this. before i know it she'll be 4, then 5, then 15. oh my, my heart rate is rising as i type.

thought i'd take a little stroll down memory lane...

how did that delicously chubby little baby up there turn into this beautiful little girl so fast?

at 3.5 ryan is such a blessing to have in this family. even though she looks and acts like me most of the time...she does share some traits with her daddy. she is a born leader whether it's her dolls, her little sister or her cousins she always seems to take charge of the game their playing. (whether the participants like it or not.) she loves to dress up. she loves to hear and tell stories. she loves to see movies in the theater. she loves going on lunch dates to the "mac & cheese place" aka bread co. she loves her little sister (most of the time), she loves talking to the new baby. she takes her role as big sister very seriously. she loves her "prince" aka brendan. i wish i could caption the way her face lights up anytime i mention that he's coming over. but more than anything ryan love, love, loves to perform. sing, dance, you name it. no matter who comes over to the house our evenings usually end with all of us sitting in the family room while ryan is on her "stage"...the fireplace. now, i even have to announce her in before every performance.

the girl has some serious star power already!
