golden boy

i realize it's been awhile since i posted. we just got back in town from a weekend away and i have a lot to cover. these posts will be a little backwards as i begin with the most recent (and biggest) event around here...

dan's birthday!!!

yesterday was not just dan's birthday. it was his golden birthday...31 on the 31st!! we spent the first half of the day driving back from our weekend in chicago. (another post in itself!) the afternoon/evening were spent exactly how he wanted...around the house with his gals. we lounged, we played, we had his favorite dinner and an apple pie made by the girls and ne ne.

there is much to be said about the birthday boy. i could go on and on and on about that man. i could get all mushy and tell you how wonderful he is as a husband and even more so as a father. about how much the girls adore and look up to their daddy.

i could be super sappy and tell you how lucky we are to have a hubby/daddy that works so hard to not just provide us with what we need but what we want.

i could tell you how thoughtful and generous he is as a son,

as a brother,

as a friend.

i could really get sentimental and tell you just how much i love that boy...but i will spare you. afterall, if you know him...even if just in passing...you already know all of this.
