pool date

like i said, we're looking back this week on the blog.

back on the 27th of july, a very important person in our family had a birthday. we will officially be celebrating her and dan this coming sunday but i just had to give her a shout out, even if it is a little belated. those of you close to the family know her as cessie or celeste to all the grown ups out there. those blog friends out there who haven't had the pleasure of meeting her, i will fill you in. technically speaking cessie is my 2nd cousin. my pop is the baby in his family, his older sister being cessie's mother. so even though he is only 9 years older, pop is cessie's uncle. which would make her my mom's cousin and my 2nd cousin. follow?!?

like i said, that is technically speaking. emotionally speaking cessie is more like my 3rd grandmother. she loves us like a grandmother and spoils us like a grandmother. like i have mentioned before, my family has some pretty amazing genes. (my pop will be 94 in january!!) and cessie is no exception...she loves to travel, loves to go out to dinner with friends, loves to volunteer downtown, and loves, loves, loves her family. she is one amazing lady and we hope she had a wonderful birthday.
