santa, santa and more santa

8:39 AM

it's not even christmas eve and we have already had our fair share of santa visits...and not a tear in sight!

i am so very proud of the confidence my girls showed this year. lilly especially...she is leaps and bounds from where she was this time last year.

let me back up...i would not have cared one bit if any of them showed any fear about sitting with santa. that's not what i'm proud of. i was fully expecting at least one girl to be missing from that picture below. i am proud of the fact that they did something that was out of their comfort zone. i'm proud that they knew since i was right there with them, that nothing bad would happen. i'm proud that they are becoming confident little girls right before my very eyes.

i am also fully aware that annie had no idea what was going on. she finally realized it wasn't me that was holding her...

the sweeney's picture was just as perfect. it was such a delightful morning with this crew. it actually made me a little sad, in a weird way, that there were no meltdowns. just shows how big they are all getting and that time is moving way too fast. it's a good thing we have those cute little babies...i'm sure next year won't be so easy breezy.

we continued our hunt for santa on saturday at ursuline! love this event. the crafts, the pancakes, the high school gym smell. it just can't be beat!

oh and by the way, these two are only 8 weeks apart. 8 measly weeks. dang sweeney genes...height is just not our thang.

i'm starting to think annie is looking like my mom...thoughts?

colleen still looks like her dad...with a splash of her mom.

as always the peterson's joined in on the fun

these guys really got into the pancake tossing this year.

another successful santa sighting

on sunday we looked for santa at bellerive

as always, the marionette show did not disappoint

may was picking a good one for santa

that's better

trip lead us all in a toast before dinner. he reminded us only 11 days until christmas...well said trip!

after dinner ryan took over the camera for a bit

then lilly took over...

we can never resist a little photo shoot on the way out the door

you still with me?

man, that was a long post with a ton of pics. this weekend is equally filled with fun events.

stay tuned...
